Our practice offers a variety of services from comprehensive medical services to wellness and rejuvenation. 

We provide both in-office and telehealth appointments to ensure our patients can access quality care, no matter their location or schedule.  Our team of experienced providers and medical staff are committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care to our patients.

Our practice panel is smaller and appointment times are longer with a focus on the individual as oppossed to volume of visits. We welcome active communicate with our patients  through our convenient online portal as well as encourage online scheduling.

Jennifer Thompson is the owner and Nurse Practitioner associated with Advanced Practice. She is a graduate of George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, where she received her Masters in the Science of Nursing. Jennifer is board-certified and is licensed in North Carolina and autonomously in Virginia & Florida. 

Jennifer pursued her career interest in Emergency Medicine and has practiced full-time as a Nurse Practitioner since 2005, affiliated with multiple hospital sites. Jennifer also has worked in the areas of Primary Care and Correctional Medicine along her journey.

 Jennifer is a proud mother of 5 grown children and 3 very energetic grandsons. Jennifer has lived in the area since 1997 and is very excited to make a difference in her community.

We currently accept most commercial and various Medicaid payors. Feel free to book an appointment online.

Insurance Participation

Providers bill independently, and as a courtesy to the patient.  Fees for service are due at the time of the appointment. We recommend verification of participation with your individual insurance plan.

• Cigna
• Tricare (various plans, verification of plan participation with Tricare recommended)
• UHC-We no longer participate with UHC Medicaid and only select PPO plans accepted.
• Medicaid-  Anthem Healthkeepers
• We do not participate with Medicare, Optum, Va Better Health, GEHA policies, Molina or other policies not listed above.
• Note: Cigna and Tricare patients verify with the policyholder that we are in-network for your particular plan, using our name and address for the provider.
